Seine drive with integrated circuit to allow Digital locomotives with high-power drive to stop regularly. Connections for a two-position light signal, for the required 3 rail sections to safely stop. The brake module is switched over a decoder k 83 or over a conventional 7272/72720 switchboard. Dimensions 100 x 54 x 22 mm.

The brake module requires 3 isolated track sections at the signal. The first section is a transition section, corresponding to the length of a ski slider (about 70-90 mm). The second section is the actual brake section, in which the locomotive stops regularly. The length of the brake section is determined by the brake delay setting on the locomotive decoder. This second section should be at least 40-50 cm. The third section is a safety section in which, as usual in signal sections, the driving voltage is disconnected. This excludes an unintentional “overshooting” of the locomotive over the signal section.

The brake module is suitable for light and arm signals.

Locs with built-in uncontrolled Digital or Delta electronics remain partially in the brake section or only in the safety section. An unambiguous statement is not possible. Therefore, the use of the 72442 brake module together with uncontrolled drives is less recommended.

All connections with new plug-in connections. Function corresponds to brake module 72441.
