Central Station 3 offers as multiprotocol control device, with the modern high-resolution color touch screen, 2 driving controls and integrated central mimic control panel, the possibility for easy and comfortable control of locomotives and the whole installation. For locomotives up to 32 functions can be switched, for accessory items up to 320 Motorola or 2048 DCC magnetically controlled items are possible.
Central Station 3 also features 2 built-in locomotive card readers (for storing locomotive data on a locomotive card or for quick locomotive recall by inserting the locomotive card), an SD card reader for memory expansion, and an integrated speaker for playing model railroad sounds. A powerful booster is integrated for powering the system with driving and switching current.
Central Station 3 is multi-device capable, that is, with the optional cable (60123) additional Central Stations 3 plus (60216), with a suitable network connection, can be used together in an installation. Additional control panels, more layouts and keyboards further expand the installation, where joint and separate configurations for the plant components to be controlled in Central Station 3 (plus) can be used.
Central Station 3 has 2 built-in USB hosts (e.g. for mouse, keyboard, USB stick), a USB charging socket, a network connection for communication with a PC, connections for 2 Mobile Stations, a connection for external speakers and other connections for the Märklin bus system. S88 connections can be made externally via link s88 (60883).
Load capacity on terminal rail: max. 5 A, load capacity on programming rail: max. 1.2 A. Central Station 3 can only be used together with power supply 60041 (60101 for track 1 and L51095 for LGB) (not with transformers such as the 60052). When using adapter 60041, the maximum output power of 58 VA and a maximum current of 3 A is achieved (for 60216 with adapter 60101/L51095, a maximum current of 5 A is achieved, recommended for Track 1/LGB only. Definitely make sure that the cable diameter is larger than 0.5 mm²!). Power supply is not included.
