The LokPilot 5 DCC is the “”twin brother”” of the LokPilot 5. The two share almost all features, but the LokPilot 5 DCC is a pure DCC decoder and cannot be used on analog AC systems. This lack of flexibility is accompanied by a lower price. LokPilot 5 decoders are offered with all common interfaces.
Mode:
the LokPilot 5 DCC is a “”purebred”” DCC decoder. 14 to 128 speed steps are as natural as 2- and 4-digit addresses. Up to 32 functions can be activated. Thanks to RailComPlus®, the decoders automatically register with a suitable DCC system such as the ESU CabControl. The decoder accepts all DCC programming modes and, thanks to RailCom®, the CV values on the main track can be read with RailCom-equipped DCC systems. For central units that program only the CVs, there ??exist 1-255 auxiliary CV registers. The LokPilot 5 DCC decoder recognizes Märklin® brake sections as well as ZIMO® HLU / ZACKCommands or the Lenz® ABC system. Braking with DCC brake modules or with direct voltage is also possible. It also stops with a Selectrix® brake diode. An automatic ABC shuttle trains automatically between two train stations. The LokPilot 5 DCC decoder can be used on analog DC trains. The top speed can be set individually. The decoder switches fully automatically “”on-the-fly”” between operating modes.
Functions:
we know that you want your locomotives to be as realistic as possible. That’s why we have the LokPilot 5DCC packed with function outputs. Depending on the interface version, each LokPilot 5 offers DCCDecoder and at least 10 amplified function outputs with 250mA output current each. In the versions with PluX22 or 21MTC interface, 4 outputs for controlling servos or logic level outputs are added. All major lighting functions are available. The brightness of each output can be set individually. The decoder masters automatic pushing and pulling when uncoupling for ROCO®, Krois® and Telex® couplers.
Motor control:
The motor control of the LokPilot 5 DCC has again been fundamentally improved. A variably adjustable PWM clock frequency from 10 kHz to 50 kHz ensures super-quiet operation, especially with clock-anchor motors. Operation – The typical “”hum”” is a thing of the past. The load control now features up to 10 CVs that can be adjusted for difficult cases. The unique “”Autotune”” function allows automatic calibration of the decoder to the motor. The LokPilot 5 DCC decoder delivers up to 1.5 A of motor current. Enough juice, even for older motors.
Operational safety:
On request, a PowerPack can be mounted on the LokPilot 5 DCC to bridge contaminated rail sections.
Protection:
of course, all function outputs and the motor output are protected against overloading. We want you to enjoy your decoder as long as possible.
