The LokPilot 5 Fx is a function decoder without motor power and therefore perfect for installation in test cars or working models. Because it communicates in DCC with RailCom® as well as Motorola® and Selectrix, it can be used with all common digital control units. It shares its flexible radio-onskey mission and numerous lighting effects with other ESU LokPilot 5 decoders. The LokPilot 5 Fx comes in three variants: In addition to the “”classic”” version with 8-pin NEM 652 wiring harness, a variant for the 21MTC interface and with PluX22 interface is also available.
Mode:
The LokPilot 5 Fx is a multi-protocol decoder. It masters the DCC data format as well as Motorola® and Selectrix®. In DCC format, 14 to 128 driving steps are as natural as 2- and 4-digit addresses. Up to 28 functions can be activated. Thanks to RailComPlus® decoders register fully automatically in a suitable digital center (e.g. ECoS). It masters all DCC programming modes and can be used and programmed with all DCC-compatible digital centers: RailCom® also allows reading CV values on the main track with suitable control panels. There are ??auxiliary registers for control units that can only program CVs from 1 to 255 (e.g. ROCO® multi-mouse). Motorola® users can enjoy up to 28 driving stops at 255 addresses. Three additional Motorola® addresses allow the activation of 16 functions. An integrated programming mode also allows reprogramming with the venerable 6021 control unit. The LokPilot 5 Fx decoder is recognized as a Märklin®-Bremsstrecke and also includes ZIMO®-HLU/ZACK-Brems controls or the Lenz® ABC system. Braking with DCC brake shoes or with equal voltage is also possible. In addition, it also stops thanks to a Selectrix® brake diode. An ABC AUTOMATIC commuter train allows automatic movement between two stations. Although this decoder has no motor power, this is also important with a function decoder so that it can synchronize the control of cars and automobiles. The LokPilot 5 FX decoder can be used on analog DC and AC networks. The decoder switches between operating modes on the fly fully automatically. Usually, nothing needs to be adjusted.
Functions:
The LokPilot 5 Fx is equipped with an amazing number of function outputs. Depending on the cutting version, each LokPilot 5 Fx decoder offers at least 10 function-extended outputs, each with an output current of 250 mA. In versions with PluX22 or 21MTC interface, 4 outputs are added for controlling servos or logic-level outputs. All major lighting functions are available. The brightness of each output can be adjusted individually.
Interaction:
the LokPilot 5 Fx is designed to interact with the LokSound 5 and LokPilot 5 decoders: it is possible, for example, to equip the locomotive with a train set from a LokSound 5 decoder and the driver’s car with a LokPilot 5 Fx. have the same address, both behave absolutely identically. The identical arrangement of the CVs facilitates the tuning of both decoders.
