This car shows a very special painting. The year 1933 was marked at Märklin by the presentation of many new models that represented a big change for the company. The animal in our coat of arms was born! The legendary, fairy-tale surrounded, “Crocodile” Ce 6/8 II of the SBB emerged as a miniature in high-quality tin. Available from Märklin in gauges 0 and I under the item number CCS 66/12920 or 12921, which to this day still gives collectors of antique tin toys goosebumps.The only difference between reality and artistic design: The “Crocodile” was only produced by Märklin at that time in the green version.Not only the Crocodile was presented but also the “Flying Hamburger” which at that time was the runner in the Märklin assortment.Due to the dimensions of the painting we decided to depict it in two halves on both sides of the wagon. This makes the numerous small details much more visible…
